I was having trouble with my fuel pump on my 96 88. after researching I found that the grounds connect at a busground under the carpet on the drivers side. It is a black bar with a blue cover onit.
It is inside the fuel tank.
It is likely that you have a bad ground in the system... check all the ground wires
In the fuel tank.
have you checked your wires
Yes it has both.
check the coils .they might be bad I'd try plugs/wires and fuel filter first. If it backfires when revved up while running rough, probably a spark problem, plugs, wires, or coils. But could also be a fuel problem (filter or water in gas).
The 1994 Olds Delta 88 is dying at lights because there is an issue in the fuel system. The car is not getting enough gas because there is nobody stepping on the accelerator, feeding the care more fuel while parked at a stop light.
try bypassing the fuel pump, and directly injecting fuel, this will tell you if the problem is the pump, the lines, or further ahead
connect fuel gauge to schrader valve on fuel rail. Turn key to ON,do not start engine. The pressure should be 42-47 psi.
fuse or broken ground in wires
Check for fuel/spark Check for loose ground Check for fuel/spark Check for loose ground
On my 1995 Olds 88 the pump and relay are on top of the gas tank.
