Yes , it must have a timing CHAIN ( the Gates website does not list a timing belt for the 2004 Nissan Xterra 2.4 liter )
The 3.3 liter v6 has 180hp.
The 6 cylinder 3.3 liter engine is the same in both the 2000 and 2004 Xterra. The engine changed completely the next year in 2005.
how much 3.75 qts
hard strt and 10 min running engine and die
There is a hole back there. Get one of those mirrors on a stick so you can see what it looks like first then just feel your way in there.
The location of the flasher relay on a 2001 Nissan Xterra is underneath the driverside dashboard. It should be mounted on the right side near the top of the brake pedal. I just changed mine when the turn signals would stop working or sometimes not even come on.
The 3.3 Liter V6 has a timing belt that must be changed every 105,000 miles. Warning: This is an interference engine. If the belt breaks you will have serious internal engine damage.
you don't the computer does it for you. if it is out of time you may want to check cam sensor or possibly timing chain.

Your thermostat on a 3.3L engine is in the front by the water pump. Follow the top radiator hose until it meets the engine. There is a metal housing that the hose clamps to. THAT IS YOUR THERMOSTAT inside that houseing. You have to remove most of the brackets and parts in that area to get to it. Hope this helps
No. It has a chain.
