in my 1992 Diamante SOHC the rear oxygen sensor (aka O2 Sensor) is located underneath the car, on the passenger side of the exhaust pipe, in the area of pipe approximately 1/2 or 2/3 of the way down measuring from the front bumper of the car.
You will need a special socket to remove the sensor from the exhaust pipe. It has an open slit from end to end, to allow the sensor wire to pass through the socket without needing to be cut. Approximately $85 to purchase, but AutoZone loaned one to me for a deposit of $23, which I got back when I returned the tool to AuroZone....
NOTE: The hardest part of this repair was locating the sensor! All the repair manuals are vague as to the exact area where the O2 Sensor can be found. Once located & using the special socket, this is an easy, fast job that just about anyone can do.
i think there is 2
The bank 2, Oxygen sensor 2, on a 1999 Mitsubishi Diamante is located on the passenger side of the vehicle. It is in the exhaust in the undercarriage.

You can find them in the exhaust pipe. Depending on engine size you might have anywhere from 2 to 4 oxygen sensors.

The sensor is most likely located about the middle of the vehicle jsut in front of the Cat converter. The wire comes up through the vehicle and connects in the center console under the carpet and just nfront of the shifter. There may also be another sensor located just off the headers under the hood.
4, two front and two rear, I recently had to change the rears anyway, since it was misreading its information and causing the service engine light to come on and they wouldn't pass my emissions inspection.
Oxygen sensors are located at the same place on all cars cause they all do the same thing: analyze your exhaust gas. It will be on the exhaust pipe, between the engine and the catalytic converter. thats good but there are 3 of them
I can only find two sensors, engine compartment, pre and post catitytic converter. Ideas, suggestions .......... help, please? Where are the missing two?
The oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust pipes.
oxygen sensors are located just forward of your engine. In front of the engine is the catalytic converter. At the top at the bottom are your oxygen sensors.
