Has anyone out there experienced my problem? After replacing a tire on 2006 DTS the service tire monitor system warning is on. I have relearned all tires okay, but cannot reset tire pressure sensors. Please help, I cannot afford service calls.
If you do the service tire system light will always be on.
the original rims for that vehicle have air pressure sensors built in them. if you replaced the rims, you would have to replace the sensors also. now, if you only replaced the tires, the sensors may have been damaged during installation.
Your car is equipped with a system to alert you to low pressure in any of the 4 tires. There is a tire pressure monitoring device installed inside each tire. This warning either means there is something wrong with the system or something is wrong with one of the sensors.
I had to have the dealer reset the tpm with their computer.
Most tire pressure sensors are built into the valve stems in the wheel. The send a signal to a reciver on the vehicle to monitor tire pressure
My 2008 chevy tahoe service tire monitor lights came on, and I jst put air in them not so long ago...is it safe to still drive it?
The tire pressure monitor system will no longer function.
You need to go under your vehicle settings. Once in the flat tire monitor, you can select reset. It may that you have a small leak which is why the light is still on.
What sensors??? Tire pressure sensors? You can reset the tire pressure sensors through the instrument cluster
The Toyota can support for tire sensors. There is a tire sensor on each tire. The system is not set up to support anymore than four sensors.
Most TPMS Sensors will last 3 years plus, I've found that if the sensors are kept out of the open enviroment they can last well over 7 to 10 years. Most of these type sensors fail do to the lack of training that tire technicians have, There are proceadures which are not followed by tire techs, so it is important that you choose your tire service provider carefully.
