Under the hood, you should see the rubber spark plug wires. They start at the distributor, they extend out to each cylinder on the motor. Just trace the spark plug wires and at the end is the spark plug. Pull the wire off and there it is. on the engine
Make sure you are using Ford OEM (Motorcraft is not always OEM) Spark Plugs that are designed for you explorer.

You have to take the front wheels off and go through the fender well.
It has spark plugs. They are just hidden from view.
Under the bolt on cover on the middle of the valve cover.
those particular wires and plugs are located in the engine compartment under the hood of that Lincoln the spark plugs are located on both sides of the engine block about half way down the wires are connected to the spark plugs and then run all the way to the coil/distributer whatever that particular model has good luck
the answer is elsewhere on this site. it appears that 3 of the plugs are on the back of the engine and you have to jack up the car to get to them....
on valve cover just remove wires
The plugs are located under the intake plenum. This is a real job because it takes removing several bolts, wires and gaskets to get to them.

Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of your engine compartment ( it will show the type of spark plugs used and the spark plug gap )
