Where are the speed sensors located on a 2000 Chrysler sebring?
I have a 1999 sebring and i had to replace my speed sensor.
there are two sensors one located on the transmission that's the
internal one and the other one is just off the drivers front wheel
well, you have to pull the tire off.
On the transmission, there are two,one input and one output. If the speedometer operation is the problem the output sensor is the problem is located on the driver (Left)side of the transaxle.
How do you replace a speed sensor in a 1999 Chrysler town and country and where is the sensor located?
speed sensors are located on front hubs remove the wheel and you will see what looks like a serated disk the sensors are located adjacent to these These sensors are for the ABS and do not control the speedometer. The vehicle speed sensor is somewhere on the transmition or transfer case. Exactly where I am also trying to find out.
Depends on the year of the vehicle, but if it's slightly modern - absolutely. A disconnected or faulty speed sensor will not allow it shift out of 1st or 2nd gear. The cars computer has to know how fast it's traveling to determine shift points I think. I'm not familiar with your particular car, but there could be other sensors that have an effect on shifting as well.
