Triumph Engineering was a company that produced motorcycles. One of their models was called the Bonneville. In the 1980s, Triumph Engineering shut down, but a new company bought the rights to the name shortly after, and production of Bonneville motorcycles resumed in 2001.

Bonneville salt flats. Back in the day a bunch of motorcycle companies tried to see how fast they could go and Triumph named a model after the flats. Kind of like the movie The Worlds Fastest Indian.
