Voyager 1 is now the farthest man-made object from earth. As of September 26, 2008, it is about 107.58 AU (16.093 billion km, or 9.94 billion miles) from the Sun, and has thus entered the heliosheath, the termination shock region between the solar system and interstellar space.

yes a space craft has visited jupiter. the voyagers 1&2, pioneer 10&11(p10 in12/3/73), galileo,ulysses, cassini-huygens, and the new horizons. as jupiter is a gas planet none of these flights were landed they were just flybys
