Most water molds and downy mildews live in water or moist places. These organisms often grow as tiny threads that look like fuzz.

downy mildews live basically anywhere that is not kept clean, and has a damp environment. They could be in your shower, sink, or even toilet. Downy mildew is dangerous to be around and can carry disease, so keep your home clean and if it does occur, call a mold-remover to get rid of it at once.
