1080p HDMI cables are available at mass merchants, such as Target and Walmart, as well as electronics stores like Best Buy and Fry's. Online outlets such as Amazon and Newegg also offer the 1080p HDMI cable.

Yes the PS3 supports 1080P when it is connected to a 1080P HDTV with the correct connection cables. The blu-ray disc plays movies at 1080P when played on the PS3 to my HDTV. The PS3 also upscales DVDs to near HD quality with amazing results. In order to fully support 1080p you do need to have a 1080p capable HDTV connected to the PS3 with HDMI or component cables.

HDMI cables are manufactured and tested to support all SD and HD formats. There is no cable that is dedicated to a specific format so a cable that handles 1080p will also handle 1080i, 720p and any standard definition format.

Any HDMI cable should be 720p compatible. When running 1080p some low quality HDMI cables may have problems when longer than say 5 metres.
