But you are in Afghanistan so my advice would be to buy a cheap Windows laptop. Toshiba, & Lenovo are very reliable and inexpensive. Avoid HP, Dell, Asus, & Sony as they are not reliable. By buying a cheap laptop it will do all you need and if you loose it or it gets damaged you will not loose too much. When you come home you can get yourself a great Macbook Pro. But if you know there is no chance of it getting damaged or lost, then go for it and get a Mac.
