As far as buying an Iphone 3 they are pretty much all the same there is no best per say, you can buy it sites like Amazon.com, ebay.com, or bestbuy.com. Now where the Verizon plan is concerened they are a carried and I haven't found and special deals for this phone on it, just your basic standard 2 year deal contract from verizon.com

No. but...Verizon made a deal with Apple to end the iPhone's exclusivity to AT&T in March 2011. There was a problem though, iPhones were built for GSM networks (AT&T), and Verizon was a CDMA network. This required a new antenna. Apple never made an iPhone 3G with the CDMA antenna sadly; they did make a CDMA version of the iPhone 4, though. Then, when the 4S came out, the phone had both GSM and CDMA antennae in one phone. So, in the end, Verizon is a proud seller of iPhones, just not the original, 3G, or 3GS.
