The appropriate attitude for a sixth grader is to be yourself. Being nice and trying your best to get along with everyone will probably make you be liked. For a lot of people sixth grade is when you find out what group you belong to, when you find out who you are, what you like to do, and so on. You can always control and choose your attitude but try to choose the one that most represents you for who you really are and remember you can always try to be nice to everyone. I hope this helps and if it doesn't then sorry!
