I finally tracked down where to get Baccarat spares. It must be a secret so be careful who you tell but apparently there's a gnome called Erol who lives in a dark warehouse full of Baccarat spares. Call him on (03) 9317 1115 - he can identify your particular product if you send him a photo of the makers mark on the bottom of the saucepan. Their prices are incredibly reasonable ($5 per steam vent assembly and $10 for handles).

It prevents the conduction of heat or even conduction of electric current shock in electric saucepan.
Plastic conducts heat poorly, and it's waterproof. A plastic saucepan handle will allow the cook to hold the handle without using a potholder, and the pan can be washed in a dishwasher.
get the strongest glue in you town and then glue it back together
the best material for the handle is wood, because it does not get hot and therefore will not burn your hand.
No, you cannot get a replacement handle for Protocol Luggage. I answered this question, but you know how old I am: 9.
eBay. Do a search for "Club replacement handle." There are half a dozen up right now.
The handle goes on the left. This way you can't accidently knock it off the cooker.
The wooden pan do not hit faster and do not cont heat as metal does.

Obviously, not all saucepans have plastic handles, but most saucepans have insulating handles - wood is another common material - so that they can be safely picked up when the rest of the saucepan is hot.
The base, main part of the pan and the bits that need to be insulators are the holder on the lid and the handle
