It truly depends upon what your associates is in, and what kind of skills you have. For instance, before i returned to college to pursue more higher education, I received an AA in arts first by taking philosophy courses (for tha majority) and then another by taking English courses. With 2 AA degrees, i was still laid out to work in retail, customer service, or labor for the rest of my life, until i truly applied myself. All I had to do to get a good job with a salary and worked with people whop all ahad bachelors' or masters', was simply prove in my resume and throughout the interview process that i was, in fact, educated, and that i was a valuable asset to their company. Truly, the biggest thing that your average corporation is looking for by looking for someone with a degree, is if you are teachable. So the answer to your question is ANY JOB!!! just try hard enough, and you'll get there!

What jobs does an associates degree in anthropology prepare you for?

Getting an associates in Anthropology should take 2 years, the same as any associates degree. However, because you will not select an area to focus on (Linguistics, Cultural Anthropology, Physical Anthropology or Archaeology) until you begin work on your bachelors degree, an associates degree will probably not be particularly useful in obtaining a job in the field. == You would be able to get certified to work on archaeological digs as a field archaeologist (aka shovel bum), but it would generally be better to get the degree and a Masters if you want to work in analyzing what is found or in research. The Army also hires anthropologists.
