sony.com u send it they fix it or if unfixable send you refurbished one.

The psp was designed by a bunch of psp desiners in japan. but before the psp was told to the public, the design was changed alot, it went from touch screen buttons to real buttons. They where going to only have 8 mb ram for it TOO!!!, but they changed it to 32 on the old psp. They had a square button issue in japan, but i think they fixed it when they sold it to america.

Chances are, No. Sony only made the newest PSP because they were upset that people could still hack the psp 2000. So they installed a chip in the new psp-3000 that makes it currently "unhackable". Then they realeased it. Since they fixed the hacking, they have no new reason to release a new PSP for a while, until the hackers find a way around the chip, and/or sony finds somthing new to add to the PSP
If one breaks one's PSP, one may get it fixed at many different places. One can go to a video games store such as Game Stop or send the broken electronic to a website such as Amazon to fix it up.
