LIke any business you could be losing money instead of making. But for successful barbershop in a good place paying 2000-3500 for rent ( like in a shopping center with a supermarket, or a place with a lot of traffic passing each day. Easily could be making 80,000+ a year. Example: THis barbershop pays around 2800 a month for rent. It has 8 barbers Sometimes 9. Most of them get %50 of what they do Cuts from $12-$60 depending if is design or regular ones. Generally each barber makes 600-1000 a week. ( not including tips) If you do the math at around ~800 dollars per barber. 800*4*8= 25600 (this is what the shop makes a month( total entering the barbershop a month probably exceed 50k a month). Pay around $350-500 electricity. 3000 rent. Pay another 500-1500 in other cost from maintenance or equipment ( and of course i am putting 1500 at ridiculous high price) Even when you substract the salaries you end up making from 10,000-18,000 any given month ( usually December is really good, so it may be higher) Of course if you get a place paying 1000-2000 for rent that place may say something, it may not be new, or as good as next to publix supermarket. ( which they wont let you anyways because haircuttery has right to open there before anyone) If you think of opening one pay attention to the place, don't go for the cheapest rent, and preferably to open in a new shopping centers, people are more likely to visit than an old barbershop. I own other type of businesses, but I know different barber owners. one is making 3500-4500 a month ( open around a year and half.) another one makes over 100,000 ( 5 years open, the one I specify above) Another one next to a regal cinemas ( this ones makes by far the most of the ones that I know.. Probably more than $200,000 10-12 barbers always full -huge shopping center, cinemas next to it, and high traffic street.

The earliest records of a system of taxation is that of the Pharoahs of ancient Egypt, who made regular tours of their kingdom(s), collecting taxes as they went. This particular method of tax collection goes back about 5,000 years, as shown in records dated to the period around 3000 BC to 2800 BC.For more information see 'Related Links' below.
