I am trying to find out where to get a stock and a bolt for a 3 in. model 15a 410 shotgun the brand is a ward western field can you help.
The montgomery wards(western field) model 31A was made by mossberg. There was 2 model designations for this shotgun, either the mossberg model 40,or the model 44.The model 40 was made from 1933-1935.The model 44 had a heavier target stock and was made from 1934-1935.Both would shoot 22 S,L,or long rifle ammo.
I would go to Numrich gun parts corp.they may be found on the web.The Mossberg model 395K is the same firearm as yours, having been made for Montgomery Wards(Western field) by Mossberg&sons firearms company.

I am looking for the part that goes over the front of the barrel and stock the you connect the sling to can anyone help me?Your Western Field model 855,was made by Mossberg. The Mossberg model 353 and your firearm are one and the same. All parts will inter change. If you wish to email me directly,I could provide a few direct searches for you.
The Western Field Model 60 is the Stevens/Savage 620A. If your 'smith can't find new or good used wood for it, try Numrich Gunparts. If he was going to start with a blank stock, $400 sounds cheap, but this gun isn't that old, so factory stocks should be available.
