You have to buy the whole axle....cost about $486 on line from Coleman Equipment
they do not sell individual parts. Kubota knows that these axles are only good for about 400 hours. this is some of the first junk that Kubota has made. Most of their stuff is good for at lease 2000 hours. Sad but true, the rear u joints can be bought on Ebay at about half price.
The 2000 Ram had u joints, not cv joints at the front axle.
How do you get the axle out to change the boots on the cv joints
It has four cv joints, two in each front axle shaft.
If the Ford F-150 is a 4X4 , yes , it has constant velocity joints on the front axle shafts
How do u remove front axle u joints
it has a solid front axle, therefore it has u joints, not cv joints found on independent front suspension(ifs) of GMs. CV joints are gonna be awful hard to install on a solid front end...
disconnect everything connected to the axle (make sure you label everything and where it came from) line up new axle and follow your lables and reconnect (if you have the axle out may as well change the front driveshaft universal joints while you're at)
is this a 4x4 solid front axle.your front axle shaft u-joints may be bad.get under the front axle between the wheel and the end of your axle tube grab the u-joint and see if it has play.this is most common knocking on solid axle trucks
It doesn't have universal joints. The axle shafts have constant velocity (CV) joints. It doesn't have universal joints. The axle shafts have constant velocity (CV) joints.
Bad axel shaft u-joints. U-joints bad in the front driveshaft. It would really help to know the year.
As long as you are mechanically inclined, and have a good place to work and some good tools, buy yourself a M4700 Service Manual from your Kubota dealer, and have at it. If not, then I'd recommend taking it to an Agricultural Service Shop or a Kubota dealer and having it fixed. Good luck!
The front axle is not disengaged OR the front u-joints are starting to fail.
