The UK has several region codes, but mainly UK releases, sold and distributed in the UK are region 1. Still, they distribute DVD's in region codes 1 through 4, depending on what part of the UK you're in. Now here's the good news: Most DVD players can have their ability to play ALL region codes (that is to say, `region free') with a simple bit of button pushing on the remote control. Do an internet (Google, for instance) for region codes and or DVD hacks to find out how it's done. You could also just simply type in the brand of the DVD player, such as, `panasonic+DVD+hacks' where you'll find a list of sites with the info.
