What does mystic quartz look like and where is it found?
I don't know where it is found. (in fact that is what i was searching for) but i can say what it looks like. Mystic quartz looks like an exploding rainbow (with a kaleidoscope effect) when light is refracted off of it correctly. (Answered by a 13 year old:))

Mystic quartz is similar to mystic topaz. Each are white (colorless) stones to start with, then a treatment is applied to offer it in the mystic color. The treatment was originally developed for topaz stones. As demand grew, scientists figured out the way to apply their therapy to quartz at the same time. Why is that great? three causes: (1) Quartz and topaz share equivalent optical properties, so you cannot tell the difference visually. (2) Quartz is readily out there in bigger sizes. (3) Quartz has a lower precise gravity than topaz -- therefore, with two stones from the same exact size, the quartz will weigh much less by about 30%, yielding tremendous price savings.
