If you are looking to buy a PCI express video card, I would suggest trying Best Buy. Any electrical store should have this if you don't have a Best Buy near you.
no. only on a pcie slot. buy a mainboard with such
NO. If you have a pci-x slot, probably it is a server, and you want to upgrade your graphics card, you can buy a PCI card and plug it into your PCI-X slot. It should work probably.
Yes and No. A Graphics Card is another name for Video Card. Graphics Cards (or GPUs for short) are manufactured to more than one expansion slot interface. PCI is one of the oldest, if not first, interfaces for GPUs. Currently, GPUs are being manufactured as PCI-Express x16 interface. There are also version (revision) 2.0 cards, which are called PCI-Express 2.0 x16. They are all compatible with motherboards that have PCI-Express x16 slots. But to take full advantage of the speed of 2.0 cards, it's recommended to buy a newer motherboard.
Yes you can use x16 PCI Express video cards on your D915GAV motherboard. I've the same motherboard & I'm using Nvidia GeForce 7300GT PCI Express. You can install all types of latest PCI Expresses on it. Here are the names of some great PCI Express graphics cards of Nvidia: Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX Nvidia Geforce 7800GTX These PCI Express graphics Cards are great for playing games! I suggest you to buy Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX is the greatest PCI Express but it is very costly. If your budget is limited then you can buy Nvidia Geforce 7800GTX Please dont try Nvidia Geforce 6 series PCI Express: it is very old. It supports DDR1 type RAM not DDR2 type RAM. Best of luck.
Short of buying a new motherboard it is not possible to fit a PCI-Express graphics card in a Dell Dimension 1100.
No you can not plug a PCI card into a PCI-Express slot. PCI and PCI-Express slots are physically of different size and differ in connectivity. - Neeraj Sharma True, you cannot directly connect a PCI card to a PCI Express slot, partly because the physical slot design is different, but also because PCI and PCI Express handle data in completely different manners. There are however, adapters available that will enable you to connect a PCI card to a PCI Express slot through an interface that "translates" PCI signals to signals that PCI Express can read. They are available in single PCI to PCIe configurations, but those require a bit of extra space within the chassis if your computer. You need to make sure you have the required space available. There are also adapters available that include a PCIe card with a serial(?) port to which you connect a cable that attaches to an expansion box that accepts multiple PCI cards. One example can be found here: http://www.virtuavia.eu/shop/pci-express-to-pci-expansion-box-p29809.html Of course, you should remember that using one of these means you are pumping four PCI card's worth of information through a single PCIe slot. You need to do your homework before just randomly plugging four cards into an adapter like that. A combination of Firewire and USB cards may not be a problem, whereas combining video and sound cards could present problems. Due diligence is certainly called for! Pixel shader is a graphics processing techonology, and as such, it's not something you can just buy and install in your computer. However, if your computer has an available video card slot (PCI-express or perhaps even AGP 8x) you can purchase and install a video card in the computer that supports Pixel Shader processing.
You can buy a PCI Express Video card for the Inspiron 530. You can find these on www.ebuyer.com, www.overclockers.co.UK, www.aria.co.UK, eBay and others. Make sure you know what you are doing before you fit a Video Card. If you are unsure, get someone who knows how to fit it for you. If you are still wanting to do it yourself, there is a guide at http://www.pchardware.co.UK/install-graphics-card-guide.php that will show you how to do it.
Definetly a desktop. Most desktops nowadays come with a PCI-16X or PCI-Express slot in the mother board for video cards. And you can install any type of graphics card you want. Most desktops also come with a gaming graphics card, and if you dont like what you have, you can simply remove it and buy the one you want, or upgrade it. But in a laptop you are restricted to what you have inside you box.
you can't the best option is to buy a cheap pci-x video card...
If there is no video card, get one. If that is not the case, buy a new vid card.
A pci network card can be purchased at any electronics store, such as Best Buy or Fry's. They may also be found online at stores such as Amazon or specialty websites such as Server Supply and Newegg.
