Japanese is a simple language to learn to speak, reading and writing is difficult though. i could speak fluently in 6 months just using a dictionary and got a job as an interpreter in 18 months. electronic ones look cool but they slow your learning ability because you can just get them to do the work for you. if of course you don't care whether you learn the language or not by all means get a computerized one doesn't really matter which.
