Attempting to curl hair with a straightener does not work. A straightener removes moisture from hair, causing it to stay straight and keeping it from forming curls

How do you curl hair with straightners?
You grab the straightener and grab a piece of hair not too big not too small (you be the judge of that) and then put the straightener on that piece of hair like if your going to straighten it and you twist it once and pull down. If you want it curlier than that you twist twice. Your straightener must have rounded edges in order to get a round curl (if it has squared edges the curl will be box shaped). Start at the bottom of your head about an inch section, and clip the rest of the hair up out of the way. Take one half of this section and put the straighteners at the roots. Your straighteners should be vertical and straight (this takes a lot of practice to do in your own hair). Turn the straightener the whole way around in your hair (360 degrees) and pull it to the end of the hair. Twist it back up to the head making sure that the hair is wrapping around it and then loosely unwind it from your hair. This is your curl. Continue and try to use the same amount of hair for each curl. This really does require a lot of practice so don't get disheartened if you find it hard. You can also find a volunteer to practice on. Also after you complete a section of curls apply a fine mist of hairspray to it. Straightener curls don't last as long as if you put them in rollers. If you find that the curl you produce is not curly enough use a smaller section of hair and if you find that the curl is too curly use a larger section of hair.

Get a straightener and curl your hair with the straightener but only the top layers of your hair then take hairspray and spray everywhere but only once so its not a whole bunch of hairspray after you do that you run your fingers through it. It works!
