Well if warm water on a rag does not work then you have one other alternative. You can put your keyboard in the dishwasher. I know it sounds crazy and you can do some more research on the internet but it has been done and it works. Once the wash cycle is over then lay your keyboard on a towel upside down and let it dry for about 3 days before you use it. Keyboards are so cheap these days you really don't have anything to lose.
Why does my PC make the USB connect disconnect noise when playing certain games and also cause the game to freeze periodically?
thanks for the insight.. i tried it to no avail.. could it be a video card issue?? some games play perfect one game in particular give me that same sound and periodic freeze when its loading but when it starts its all good... others give me the same issue throughout the entire duration of gameplay ... no matter how low i set the resolution or graphics. Edit by John Bevan --------------------------- This does not appear to have anything to do with video/graphics since the sound you mentioned is in regard to USB connection cycling. As such, I still think this has something to do with a USB device and some sort of conflict with the game. Have you noticed this as being experienced more with a certain family of games, such as when you are running Steam or Origin games but not others? Why is my laptop computer keyboard locked so i can't type?
The first thing to check is see if their is power going to the keyboard. Does the Number lock, Caps lock, and Scroll lock lights work? If they do work then the problem could be a bad keyboard especially if the mouse works. If the lights do not work then check the plug it could be getting a bad connection, a broken or bent pin, or not plugged in at all.
