It does not impact career in a drastic way. The person who embraces secular humanism is not confined to a spiritual religion and therefore there are no restrictions on the individual for whatever career path he/she decides to choose. There is therefore a freedom in choosing what suits the person best and keeps the person happy with one's decision and self. It also means there is no restrictions to the person's career or any repercussions to be faced no matter what the decision is. As many people who embrace religious humanism have certain restrictions and punishments if the restrictions have not been followed, Therefore a secular person is free of this while acquiring a career.

Humanists believe that the way in which one lives one's life should be dictated by common human principles and reasoning, and that one's actions should be directed toward the betterment of mankind, independent of any religion. A humanist agnostic believes he/she doesn't know whether there is, but that it shouldn't matter in any case.
