The term WEEE does not appear to refer to a product but stands for the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive issued by the European Community in 2002. It sets recycling targets for all sorts of electrical products. More information can be found on the official European Community website and a good summary can be found on Wikipedia.
WEEE could stand for 'Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment'. This is electrical or electronic equipment which has reached the end of it's useful life and is now classed as a waste product. Disposal of WEEE in Europe is regulated by the WEEE Directive which aims to recycle/reuse/reduce the production of WEEE and prevent it from entering landfill.

The aim of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) is to address the environmental impact of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) when it reaches end-of-life and to encourage its collection, treatment, re-use, recovery, recycling and environmentally sound disposal. The WEEE Directive covers 10 broad categories of product, although some specific exemptions do apply. The legislation requires 'producers', re-branders and importers of EEE to be responsible for financing the collection, treatment, reuse, recycling and safe disposal of their goods. Both household and non-household WEEE is subject to the WEEE Directive. For a more in-depth information, use the link below.
