A flat map represents a birds-eye view of the land below. A globe represents (loosely) a satellite view of the world.
Yes, anyone with a computer and internet connectivity can view their satellite maps from all over the globe. However, some countries, do not have a detailed view on the map.
A satellite map shows if its gonna rain or something like that
I would suggest using MapQuest to obtain a map of Nevada. As well as driving directions, they also offer street views and satellite images. Have a great trip!
In the map program in the bottom right corner there is a button that looks like a rolled up piece of paper. Hit that and it will pull up view options (Satellite, Hybrid,Map) If this isn't what you mean let me know
no Google map is the map of the whole earth, Google earth is the more high tech , it is when you can street view any were in the world, by typing in the address, when u do this, it takes to the doorstep, of the requested address you put in
I use Google Earth. I type in the address, such as 100 Main St, Brooklyn, NY and Google Earth shows me a satellite view of my street, including the houses. I can see my house (mostly just the roof), my yard, etc.
A satellite map can be found on google's maps page, on a website called "mapquest", Nokia's Ovi Maps also offers a satellite map of the United States.
Maps may be drawn to scale or not to show more or less detail as needed. Satellite images on the other hand are actual photographs of what the ground and landscape are at a particular time. Both have many uses and tools like Google Maps allow you to switch from a map/street view to a satellite view with a click of the mouse.
Go to Google Homepage and click on the link at the top titled Maps. In the search bar at the top of the page enter your address, including country and postal/zip code for accuracy and press the magnifying glass symbol. You will see a map of the area surrounding your house. On the map you will find an upside down teardrop with an 'A' inside it. This is the exact location of your house. To change from the map view to satellite view simply press the satellite button in the top right hand side of the map. To get a closer view simply use the zoom tool, a bar with a + sign at the top and a - sign at the bottom and an orange figure on top of the plus sign. This is located on the left hand side of the map screen.
Here's a relatively detailed and accurate interactive map of Ohio: http://www.mapquest.com/maps?state=OH . You can choose to view roadmaps or satellite images, and it even provides live traffic data for the area!
It is the space station. If you hover over anything on the world map the name will appear.
