Merlettes, or Martins.
The crest on the Cadillac is a version of the coat of arms of the family of the French explorer named Cadillac.
with a key. just kidding. there should be a button inside the glove box. if not, twist the cadillac emblem to one side on the trunk and you will see the key hole.
If I'm not mistaken, the most obvious telltale on this body style would be the hood emblem, there isn't one. Normally these Devilles had the crest and wreath hood emblem, but on the Touring editions, this was deleted, and instead had a crest and wreath emblem on the grill.
I have a 2001 Deville. The PCV Value is under the cover ( this is the one with the cadillac emblem on it ) that is across the top of the engine. It is located at the back left of the engine. You must remove the two plastic nuts that are at the front of the panel...left and right center front. Then up and forward. There is a small black metal piece at the center back of the silver panel top ( this is the one with the cadillac emblem on it ) that hold it at the back center. Hope this is helpful. The sign or emblem for Cadillac is actually the family crest or coat of arms from the original founders. It has evolved over the years to a more simplistic version.
I see this emblem spelled batchelor, if you are in texas there is a cadillac dealer by this name. I assumed it was that and not some pretentious guy advertising that he is single and ready to mingle.
The emblem can be purchased from your local Scout Shop or from ScoutStuff.org.
It is the coat of arms of Le Sieur Antoine La Mothe Cadillac who earned his commission in the Royal Army. He founded Detroit, Mich. The V was added to emphasis the Cadillac was powered by a V8. It changes as design in cars changes. Click the link.
If someone is looking to purchase Cadillac Escalade accessories, they may start by going to their local autobody shop. If they do not have the options they are looking for, they may also go to a big name brand car sales shop which may also carry said parts.
