The 3.8mm gamebit is a specialist tool, which is only used in videogame and cable (television) applications.
It's therefore quite niche, and is not normally sold in retail stores, although this has been known in the past, in some electronics stores.
The bits can vary in quality majorly, but if you just have one or two screws to deal with, any bit will do. The harder ones will not strip and are typically made of alloys of steel. Contrary to the previous answer, the colour has nothing to do with it, and the country of origin is not a factor either. It's true to say that the absolute hardest bit you can buy is in fact manufactured in the far east. As is the softest.
When choosing your bit, be more concerned with factors like price and reputation. After all, a good shop will not sell you the wrong or unsuitable part.
Where to look? ebay, amazon, Google.
Keywords to search? Gamebit, jerrold, game bit screwdriver, etc.
well...i cracked mine open, not by smashing it or anything...just keeeep pulling from the bottom edit: That would be the crued way to do it, I would either bend the srewdriver until it was at 33 degrees or, which i have done, buy the discontinued screwdriver from somewhere. FYI the screwdriver is a 3.8mm gamebit, not a tri wing screwdriver...triwing screwdrivers are for gameboy advance games
38mm = 3.8cm
152mm divided by 4 is 38mm. 38mm times 38mm is 1,444mm2.
38mm = 3.8 cm
43mm is bigger than 38mm
i don't think you can buy it anywhere yet. but the sonic screwdriver app has it
63mm * 38mm * 198mm = 474,012mm3 or 474.012 cm3 if you prefer.
64mm long, 38mm wide and 14mm thick
That has no singular answer since there were the regular model, the Super and the Magnum. The stroke remained the same on all three at 38mm. The list is: 056 AVE 52mm x 38mm 056 AVSE 54mm x 38mm 056 AVSEQ 54mm x 38mm 056 Magnum AVE 56mm x 38mm 056 Magnum AVEQ 56mm x 38mm AV = anti-vibration or shock mounted E = electronic ignition S = Super Q = Quickstop or chainbrake

In order to open up a Game Boy cartridge you will need to have a special screwdriver that can be found on various dealers on the Internet like Newelectronx, or you can open it up with a Bic pen. You can find instructions about that on the internet. http://www.newelectronx.com/proddetail.php?prod=gamebit or you can try the former: Either use a specialty screwdriver available online, a pair of thin needle nose pliers, or take a lighter to the tip of a disposable pen (with the ink removed) and press the tip onto the screw head and let the pen cool forming a crude screwdriver
Yes. Prior to 2001 (I think) balls were 38mm, not 40mm. You can also buy 55mm, generally for elderly players.
