Benjamin airguns made Ben Franklin brand airguns. The name is no longer used on any Benjamin model. Benjamin airgun bought Sheridan Airgun company years ago and continued to make Sheridan models. Crosman airgun Co bought Benjamin airgun Co. Crosman still manufactures Both Benjamin airguns and Sheridan airguns. Benjamin airguns come in .177 Cal and .22 Caliber Rifles. Sheridan models only come in .20 Caliber rifles. Most large sportingood stores like BassPro and Cabelas sell the air rifles. Or you can order them online ( See the link below.) All Benjamin and Sheridan airguns are Pellet guns not BB guns.
I don't believe Benjamin ever made a model 170, but they did make a model 177. Is this the BB gun you are asking about?
It was made between 1947 to 1960
Please state the model number of the rifle/gun so it can be identified. During the 30's and 60's Benjamin guns were labeled Benjamin Franklin as a marketing ploy. All of them are really Benjamin's. They were developed by Walter Benjamin not Benjamin Franklin
It all depends on the model and year
Benjamin Breckinridge Warfield did not invent the BB gun.
Benjamin Franklin BB rifles were made by Benjamin air rifle. The name Franklin was added as a marketing ploy. Walter Benjamin founded the company in 1899. Today Benjamin is owned by Crosman Airgun Corp. If you have any other questions then you need to state the model and condition of the rifle.
Check the Benjamin line of air guns at www.crosman.com. Benjamin make metal air guns. Also there is no such thing as BB bullets. BB's and pellets are fired from Air guns.
Yes
The Benjamin model 300 (Benjamin Franklin was a marketing gimmick name to sell rifles.) was made between 1934-1940. In good shape, today it is worth between $95 and $125
Lets start with. The model 342 was a .22 caliber pellet rifle not a .177 cal bb gun. If you want an estimate of value then you will have to give more information as to the condition of the rifle. with out more information it is not possible to answer you.
Real BB's are .177. So NO is your answer.
Benjamin models E, F, and G were made during this time period. Which model are you asking about? Also what condition is the rifle in? Does it still hold air and work. All this is necessary in order to answer you.
