Where can I download a free recovery disk for toshiba tecra a9

Well, the Tecra brand is subsidiary of Toshiba. So the first step would be to locate a Toshiba authorized dealer, such as Toshiba Direct, and start the search there. The electronics store, Best Buy, also carries them.

To enter the BIOS on a Tecra, hit the ESC key as soon as you see the Toshiba flashscreen in red. When prompted, hit the F1 key.

There is more than one model of the Toshiba Tecra laptop. The newer models seem pretty obscure. There's none even listed for sale at Best Buy. You can probably find a model or two on eBay, for a few hundred bucks.

I don't know what it is but probably the pirate bay or something like that

With the recovery disks, just insert disk 1 into your drive, boot laptop to CD and your on the way to recovery.

Shop for and buy the best laptop computer systems, PCs and accessories at Toshiba Direct. Computing solutions for any home, school, small or large business. Depends how old the computer is.

The Toshiba Tecra 8000 uses standard 2.5" IDE / PATA hard drives. Depending on the size of the replacement (up to 127 GB should work), the price can range from $20 to $80.

Officially, two, if you give up the use of the floppy drive.

ORIGINAL ANSWER, by Laydeace: Yes. 2nd answer, by Michael E N Andry: Their higher-end laptops, such as Tecra and Portege, those are probably manufactured in Japan. However, the Satellites are more likely to be made in China.

I believe this is an excellent choice for a new college student because this particular laptop has all the bells and whistles that come with it that any college student at any level can most certainly can benefit from.

You will need to go into your settings for this. This will give you the option of changing your password whenever you want.

There should be a sliding tab on the left hand side of the computer. Slide it back and push the button underneath.

Some laptops that come with fingerprint recognition technology include Toshiba Portege R930, Toshiba Tecra R940, and the Dell Latitude 6430u Ultrabook. Most laptops that have been produced since 2010 come standard with fingerprint recognition technology.

Sadly I have purchased a Toshiba Tecra M8 and when I called toshiba to advise them that I had paid $1600 and some change for this laptop (cnd) and its under warranty until 2008 they brushed me off and said sorry you still need to purchase the $48.00 recovery CD. I'm so not impressed with that customer service. While I love my toshiba and it was a user error that I need my recovery CD. I paid $1600 bucks and didnt get my windows CD either. perhaps we should start a disgruntled facebook group. Grrrr I will be calling again this week asking to speak to management as I didnt get any satisfaction from the kid on the phone. I'm a 12 year tecra user. Looking at Apple books all ready :( Recovery disk are NOT included with your new computer, is up to YOU to do a recovery disk/s as soon you get the computer from the manufacturer, the steps are in your computer owners manual, each computer brand provide you with the steps to do this, IF YOU FORGOT, GOT YOUR PC FROM A FRIEND, YOU GOT A VIRUS, ETC. you can get them from ezrestorepc.com

It could possibly be that your hard drive got fried somehow. The only time that I have ever run into a problem like that is whenever I was stupidly messing around on my computer during a lightning storm, and an overload of power surged through my computer and fried my hard drive. All I did was replace the hard drive and install my Operating System and I was working on it again. I don't have any idea on how to replace a hard drive in a laptop, but my suggestion to you would be to call Toshiba and see if they can help you any more.

Typically, the only way to fix a broken memory slot is to replace the entire motherboard. Since this is usually very expensive (unless you can possibly find something on Ebay) it's usually uneconomical...especially on a laptop of that age. If it has more than one memory slot, you could also just increase the one slot significantly to compensate for the lost slot. Sorry there's no good news!

first of all you have to check whether your graphics card which you can find in control pannel in system, is properly intalled or not. if it is then check whether the monitor drivers are properly installed. you can update your drivers by going in properties of your monitor. if all this go waste then try and reinstal your O.S.
