You can do one of two things, (well, three things if you count not throwing away ore losing the original!) First, try to contact your employer and ask them for a re-print of your W-2. Most employers are happy to provide you with a copy. Second, if the employer can't, won't, or otherwise, doesn't provide you with a re-print, Contact the IRS at www.irs.gov, (there is a phone number posted to talk to a live person) and request the tax filing information for your social security number. They will ask you for a current address, (the one listed with your employer) to verify you are who you say you are, and they will mail you out the form. It will be a page, (or two or three dependant on how many employers you had) and this page can be used in the absence of the original W-2 to file. This method takes 2-6 weeks, so be prepared for a wait. Because of security, there are no locations where you can "download" a W-2. This is secure information and falls under the "Privacy Act".
