You have to use it if you still have the factory radio and speakers. With an aftermarket radio and speakers, you can wire in a bypass module available at Best Buy or most places that sell car audio. Or, insted of buying the module, you can also run new speaker wire from the radio to the speakers.

It depends on the speakers. Bose computer speakers are not designed to connect directly to speaker inputs on your receiver, as they have their own amplifier. All Bose home stereo speakers can be connected.
