It's more of a filter screen attached to the cross-feed/fuel shutoff valve located under your fuel tank. Go with the Pingel sold on Amazon.com if you wish to add an in-line fuel filter.
The fuel filter is next to the fuel pump and both are under the car, under the rear seat of the copilot side. You have to open a big plastic box and you woul find it.
It's in the carburetor, take the fuel line to the carb off and then the big nut on the carb and the fuel filter is behind the big nut.
Not an easy job. The filter is part of the pump in the fuel tank.

where the fuel line goes into the carb, the filter is in the carb, take the fuel line out of the carb and then take the big nut off the carb where the fuel line connects and it is in back of the big nut, be careful when taking the big nut out as there is a spring behind it and then the filter.
i think its near the back of the engine on passenger side my new filter still in box i cant get my big hands in there.
The fuel filter is located at the front of the carb. The fuel line runs to a case about as big as your thumb to the front of your carb.
The only factory equipped fuel filter on a 69 is in the carb. Remove the fuel line from the carb. Then remove the front piece on the carb.....takes a fairly big wrench or crescent. The fuel filter is mounted inside.
look where the fuel line goes into the carb, take the fuel line out and there is a big nut behind the fuel line, take the nut loose and the fuel filter is behind that nut.
the fuel filter is located right on top of engine. there is a big aluminum cylander with a black cap on it, you have to unscrew the cap to remove filter.
