The Marlin Model 795 rifle does not utilize clips, but has a 10-round detachable box magazine. The rifle itself has a magazine disconnect, and thus will not fire unless a magazine is inserted.
Follow this link to the Marlin website page for the 795, and you can download the manual for the weapon, which explains disassembly. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/SelfLoading/795.aspx
I have used the 10-round magazine for the Marlin 795 sold by Brownells (www.brownells.com) as 550-000-337. This is a nickel plated mag. Aside from extra capacity and nickel plating it appears to be the same design as the 7-round magazine that came with the rifle (Marlin 989). Brownells also sells a 7-round blued mag as 550-707-346 that should work.

Had if for a year, only time it ever jammed is because of the ammo. But there's always 3 or 5 defective ones in every 200rd box.

The Marlin 795 has a built-in feature that prevents the gun from firing without a magazine in place. Though, the modification to reverse this feature is very simple.
Crosman still has parts available for this Springmaster model 795. See the attached link at the bottom of this page for a list of parts and the telephone number for Crosman.
