The throttle body diagram for the 1988 Honda Prelude is found in the maintenance manual of this car. It can be obtained as a print out from an automotive store as well.
You can find the diagram of the throttle body on a 2000 Ford Focus with 2.0 SPI at various auto part stores. You can also check in the owner's manual.
The throttle body is where the air goes into the engine. Find the air filter, then follow the plastic duct over to the throttle body. It is round and made of metal.
A throttle body is were the throttle plate is witch allows air into the engine. so you get the air fuel mixture the engine needs to run. The futher the plate opens the faster the engine runs. you can find this were the air intake hose comes from the air filter box then connects to the engine. That will be the throttle body
The throttle position sensor is on the throttle body. That's the part of the engine that controls the amount of air allowed into the engine. To find the throttle body, follow the air intake routing toward the engine. The throttle body is the part that sits on the intake manifold. To find the throttle position sensor, follow the throttle cable to the throttle body. If it helps, have someone press down and release the throttle pedal while you're looking for the throttle body/position sensor. The throttle cable causes a shaft to turn, that's the part that controls the air coming into the engine. The throttle position sensor is connected to that shaft.

The throttle body is where the carburetor would be on a non-fuel injected engine. Trace the air duct from the air filter to the engine, that's where you will usually find it.
A fuel injector pulse is the product of an electrical charge controlled by the ecm to briefly open an injector. If the engine is throttle body injected, you would find the injectors in the throttle body.
how do you get the throttle body off so I can reach the thermostat house to replace the thermostat? Does the exhaust shield also need to come off? I have removed one bolt and two nuts on the throttle housing, are there more ? I can't find them.
You find the throttle body at the end (attached) of all the air intake stuff-- In other words air goes in to your engine via the throttle body, after passing through the air filter apperatus etc.
Remove the engine shroud and locate your air intake on the left hand (passenger) side of the engine. Follow the intake to the point that it connects to the throttle body. Directly behind this connection between the throttle body and the firewall you will find the throttle position sensor. The electrical clip has a housing on it that needs to be removed before you can remove the switch. Remove the engine shroud and locate your air intake on the left hand (passenger) side of the engine.
