if you can't find it in the car it in on the dash behind the passenger door. open the passenger door and look below the air vent that defrosts the window and you'll see a finger hole, that's it. if your looking for one to put just search the junk yards, those don't get taken very often.

i think , look under the hood on, drvers side upper firewall,at back of engine area im pulling motor on a 90 grand wagoneer and i saw one there
There is a wiring connection located under the carpet on the floor between the drivers seat and the door. Lift the carpet up and find this connection These are usually corroded so bad you have to remove the connection and solder in new wire. I had the same exact problem with my 89 Grand Wagoneer. If you have still have a problem with the lights coming on when you open certain doors the switch in the door frame will need to be replaced. good luck
