It sounds like what you are actually looking for is criminal histories. Despite their advertising to the contrary there are no publicly accessible web sites or databases that are capable of disclosing all this information to the general public with 100% accuracy or certainty. You can, however, carry out your own personal check. Arrest records are maintained by the agency or department which actually carried out the arrest. They are public records and should be able to be viewed on site, unless they are too old and have been retired to storage, in which case you will probably have to file a Freedom of Information Act request and pay an administrative fee to retrieve them. Conviction information is housed in the court's case files of the particular case. These, too, are public records but you will have to know at least some of the information with which to look up the files (name of defendant - date(s) of trial - etc). As above, if these records are old enough to be retired to storage you will have to follow the FOIA info above.

Will an employer find out about house arrest and can they fire you for it?

Court records are public records in the United States. Whether or not an employer will check those records is another story. An employer can find out about a conviction. Whether or not an employer will find out about a conviction is a different issue. The fact that following your conviction you were held under house arrest is irrelevant. The nature of the punishment is irrelevant. The fact that you were convicted is the relevant issue. Was there a deal made that would get the conviction removed from your record? Was that part of any agreement? It is illegal for an employer to fire you in the United States because you were arrested. It is legal for an employer to fire you in the United States because you were convicted. Is the conviction on your record?
