Fusible links are generally located close to the main power source such as the battery or accessory solenoid.
Look for a woven sheath beneath the coolant expansion tank. Inside that sheath, you will find the 10 fusible links for the vehicle. It's fed via the battery positive.
Should be in the harness between the voltage regulator and the alternator
I am trying to find out if there is a fusible link in the starter on a Pontiac firebird 1997
For example, on ALLDATA DVD disks. Address:ALDATA9412 Big Horn BlvdElk Grove, CA 95758916-684-5200
If you get a Hayes 1974-1993 Dodge Ram series manual, they have them in the back few pages in the electrical system section. They are a little hard to use because they are from the factory, but they help. Mine came in handy when trying to fipure out the fusible links in the blinker system on my 86 D150. Good luck
Check trigger wire on starter solenoid
Any auto parts store.
I do not know precisely, but will try to get the answer process started. Maybe someone else will come along who knows for certain. On almost all automomibles, fusible link(s) are generally located in very close proximity to the BATTERY, as fusible links are intended to do the same job as a fuse [actually is a type of fuse], EXCEPT they are for protecting very heavy duty circuits which carry heavy current. They are at, or very close to, the battery because they connect the battey to, and are intended to protect almost all of the other wiring circuits. They look just like ordinary wires [actually are], and are difficult for anyone, other than the most experienced automotive electrical technicinan, to identify. The best way to find and identify fusible links is to obtain the vehicle manufacturer's set of wiring diagrams and charts which are SPECIFIC to your model. These documents usually show where the links are located, and explain how to identify them by color and wirer size. Good luck!
Looking for the answer to this question in my 1989 Chevy Celebrity factory service manual it indicates that there are a total of 7 fusible links on the car. Five of the fusible links are shown to be in the wiring harness coming off of the starter solenoid, the other two are in a wire harness coming directly off of the battery and next to the battery in the illustration. If I am able to find out anything more definitive I will add to this answer.
not 100% sure. should be able to get a wiring diagram for your vehicle and trace wires. wiring diagram will show where relays and connections, fusible links, etc...... run the wire colors, from the fan motor to the relay....but a book does help lol...
