Pharmaceutical patient assistance programs (PAPs) provide billions of dollars of medicine free to those who meet their eligibility requirements. Each program is different with its own guidelines. The program eligibility requirements include income, insurance status, residency, and diagnosis. There are many places to find information on these program. You can go to the manufacturer's website, but it can be hard to find the information. There are websites that provide this information: www.needymeds.org, www.ppa.org, and www.rxassist.org.
