This gun was made by Daisy Air gun. It is a model 880. Daisy still is making a new version of this same model. I suggest you contact Daisy Customer Service at (800) 643-3458 for assistance, or go on-line and search for "Airgun Repair" and find a location near you that can repair the rifle. Daisy may also have a kit to rebuild it.
The 880 has an 11 mm dovetail mount. This BB/pellet rifle is fairly inexpensive and it works fine with a simple 4x10 scope, to put a more powerful scope would cost more than the rifle's base price. Daisy makes a 4x10 scope that works fine with this rifle
what year was the daisy bb rifle #102 model 36 500 shot pat.# 880-555-1.062.855 made?
you may find that the repair may cost more than the value of the rifle. But you can search the web for "air gun repair" and locate a shop near you to have it repaired or contact customer service at ( Daisy.com ) and ask them.
The value is set by the current condition of the rifle. You need to state the condition something like Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good or excellent if you want an answer.
This is a Daisy model 880, 1972-1989 Pump. Unknown how many were made. But they were mass produced. The new "Daisy 880" started again in 1990
It all depends on the current condition of the rifle
Both rifles are about the same in price. The 880 is about $5 more than the 764. The 880 has a 50 round capacity. The 764 has an 18 round capacity. The 880 has a rifled barrel, the 764 has a smooth bore barrel. The 880 is rated at 750 FPS, the 764 is rated at 625 FPS. If it were me I would select the 880 over the 764
