Where can you find the canoe in Final Fantasy 1?

When you visit Crescent Lake, there will be a group of men in the upper east side of the town called the Circle of Sages. Talk to them, they will give you a history lesson of the 4 fiends. The sage in the middle is called Lukahn. He is the sage from Cornelia whose prophecy gave the king and the people of Cornelia hope that Princess Sarah would one day be rescued. To the right of him is the sage who gives the 4 Warriors of Light the canoe they need in order to access Mount Gulg and the Ice Cave.

in crescent town or whatever it's called you go as left as possible until you find a group of dwarves in a circle. talk to all of them and one of them gives you the canoe. CAUTION. the new canoe battles are hader than land ones. make sure you're at least level 60. just kidding. you should be at least 20.

After you have defeated Lich, the Fiend of the Earth, travel to the town of Crescent Lake. There you will find the conclave of sages one of whom will give you the canoe.
