Most oil pumps are low down, under the engine. You have to remove the sump pan to get at them. Follow the dip pipe and filter, that sucks oil from the bottom of the pan. At the top of the tube will be the pump. Normally driven by either the crank or camshaft, via gearing.

The water pump is driven by the timing belt, to find it you must remove the serpentine belt, crankshaft damper, and timing belt cover.
