it will be hard to find. rust dirt etc, but if memory serves me its on the driver side top of the frame under the cab. some were also same place but next to or under the A arm on drivers side.
That would be the drivers side frame rail under the truck.
The serial number is on the frame.
You can also find the vin number on the left hand frame rail in front of the A arm. There is also one stamped on the top of the LH frame rail under the cab.

While the bolt ons are the same the frame itself is different in the side profile. These vintage pickup frames dip down for the cab floor only, then slope up below the seat and bed. The Suburban frame dips down from the front floor all the way back to the rear axle. Wheelbase is different too.
check the inside of the frame rail on the drivers side.
It is mounted under the drivers side of the truck in the frame rail.
