After getting grapple beam go to the room in magmoor caverns called "geothermal core. Use grapple beam to get onto the first platform ans activate the spinner to raise it. You will have to do this on a number of platforms that you can jump between. The top platform has a bombs slot. Activate it to raise the ceiling. You will then have to follow a series of spider ball tracks to get to the room with the plasma beam.

You get the plasma beam for metroid prime in magmoor caverns in the room with the three pillars or towers in the room and you need the spider ball to get it. Also you need the grapple beam to get to the spider ball connection.

Enter the space pirate base and use the plateform to get to the upper railing area, go to the next room to the left from where you entered the pirate base on the 2nd level, and go until you see dark samus burst into the base from above. You should be blocked from further travel. Turn to the left a little from the gates and you'll see a 2nd door leading to that glassed area a space pirate will have ruined a little. Kill him if you did not kill him earlier and scan the red display to unlock the security gate. Travel through and advance through the area.

You should soon enter a room that has a few aero pirates. Scan em and kill em. Scan the console seen in the cutscene then scan the consoles that control the platforms, about 6 of them, and make one to climb up in a / fashion to the side of the room you entered, grab the energy expansion and reverse the/ to a \ form to enter the second door.

Done, use the platform upon scanning its console to find a blue door to the side leading to a small room containing the dark beam.

Now bring your enemies to the DARK SIDE!

reverse these platforms to enter the next area.

You'll soon fight Dark Samus, Just blast away and avoid attacks. If she charges herself, dash upon her thrusting. If she charges her cannon in mid air- move behind the main phazon container in the room or dash upon her shooting.

There is a creature called Sheegoth located in the Chapel of Elders room in the Phendrana Drifts. There should be a door in the phendrana shorelines that will take you there. Fight and destroy this creature to reveal the Wave Beam. You will also have to face some Baby Sheegoths before you fight the Big Sheegoth.
