I would say depending on the age of the machine and if it has a starter and lights also if it has a magneto instead of distribuitor or battery based ignitionyou really do not need a wiring diagram as there is very little wiring on the tractor. if the tractor is less than 40 years old you should be able to get details from a dealer or neighbor some old guy like me perhaps a retired farmer I hope this helps so long from paul

Gary's Old Tractors is an old antique tractor page about Gary and his wife's hobby of restoring old tractors. Gary also has a "PowerPage" that he features along with a "Gary's Old Tractors Farmers Chopper" that he built from scratch. Even a "train" for kids! Gary also has an extensive antique tractor links page. A down to earth, fun tractor page featuring the antique tractors that both Gary and Dolores Dougherty have. The Bentley manual has wiring diagrams, and everything else about your vanagon, in great detail. If you go around the web asking for a wiring diagram, everyone will just tell you to buy a Bentley. If you ask for help with a wiring problem, they will ask you if you checked the Bentley, and if you don't have one, why not? I'm not selling them or anything :). Just google for Benley manual or Bentley service manual and "Vanagon" and you will find them. They are not cheap, but at least you get a very thorough explanation of the correct diagnostic and repair procedures for many, many things on your nearly-a-quarter-century-old vehicle.

A couple of different places: - Often you can find something posted on the web, but without a model I can't point you to a specific page. - You can also buy restorer's manuals (the green book) for a lot of old cars, I have one for the 1969 Pontiac Firebird. It's about 400 pages long, plastic covered, and has detailed diagrams and pictures for working on the car. Just working on my old car it was priceless (reduced the blood leakage rate in a major way ) - You might also find some "How to Restore My..." books at Amazon.com. - There are also sites and companies that sell just the diagrams (not advertising for them, just offering links)
