Economically challenging is how I would describe it for me as of late. Carpentry is a secure job however, you may want to take into consideration the amount of manual labor that is involved and how this will affect your ability to do the job when you are older.
Carpentry is learned by on the job training. After a year or two you can consider yourself a carpenter, with a lot to learn. Don't ever tell a potential employer you went to school for carpentry, unless you're trying to make them laugh. Go to school to use your brain, not your back. ;)

What is carpentry What is the qualification you got to have What are some of the tool you use in carpentry
In every possible situation with carpentry you use math. How long is the material, how much material, when is the completion date, how much do you charge for the job, how much do you pay for the job? The more precise the math the better the quality of the carpentry! Any good carpenter is good at math . If the carpenter you know isn't good at math don't let him remodel your kitchen!
