Montgomery Wards contracted Mossberg to manufacture many of the Western Field guns. Western Field model 15 is actually a Mossberg model 80. While it is not known the years that Mossberg shipped these guns to Montgomery Wards, it is known that Mossberg produced the model 80 gun between 1933 and 1946.
We have them. sales@countrygunsmith.net
I'm not sure but I have one in mint condition but don't have a clip. do you know where I am obtain one? L. Baker\ tankmouse1967@yahoo.comThe Western Field model 37 cross-references to a Mossberg model 30 and was made between 1933 and 1935.It is also a single-shot manual-cocking bolt-action and does not use any sort of magazine.
I wwould first look to numrich gun parts corp, then check online with E-gun parts.com.
The m822 is the same as a mossberg 640. The clip is available from G-C Gun Clips Inc, PO 4, Viola Idaho 83872. Phone 208-883-4552. Price is $30 shipped.
I have a single shot 22 western field Model xnh 804. I got it for Christmas when I was 9 years old and I am now 53, so I have had it for 44 years. It still shoots well, but the ejecter clip has broken and I would like to find a replacement part. I hope this helps you determine the age of your gun. Thanks.
As of tonight, my Internet searches have shown my dad's gun to be worth $80-100.
Your Montgomery Ward's shotgun was made for them by Mossberg, and is likely a Mossberg model 85 or 85b. Gunpartscorp has 20 guage magazines on their website (under Mossberg, Model 85b) for about $32 plus shipping.
WesternField was a brand name used by mass marketers, not a manufacturer. That model number does not appear in my crossover references. If you can send us a digital picture of the gun, we can ID it for you and probably have a magazine. repair@countrygunsmith.net
I have a Western Field 20 Gauge with a 3 round clip it is a Model 15K. I am currently re-doing this gun and am missing a few parts. Does anyone have a picture schematic of this model? The gun was built by Mossberg for Montgomery Wards. The Model 15 roughly corresponds to the Mossberg Model 80 or 85, but the K suffix on Mossberg normally indicates C-LECT-CHOKE which was not offered until much later in the 185 series. We have a considerable amount of parts for the older Mossberg bolt-action shotguns, so let us know if we can help. www.countrygunsmith.net
The Western Field bolt action shotguns look to be Mossbergs. Try gunpartscorp.com
It is a 22 Caliper Short, Long and Long Rifle Bolt Action Rifle, with a clip, that holds about 6 shells. From my understanding, it was based on the Mossberg Model 30, and made by Mossberg for Montgomery Wards. Made between 1933 and 1935.
I tried to find that 15KX, but it doesnt seem to exist. Could this gun possibly be a bolt action shotgun with a clip? If so, its very possible that its a Western Field 151X and the number 1 looks like a "K". The Western Field 151X was made by Kessler Arms in Silver Creek, NY. The shotgun was only made from 1951 to 1953. The Gun Parts Corporation in Hurley NY may have parts and more information for you.
Made by Mossberg. We have magazines. gunshop@nctv.com

This firearm was maufactured by Savage as a model 840. Some parts such as the clip/ magazine were also apparently used in the savage model 340. I have ordered this magazine from numrich in n.y. for my 30-30 sb-712
