Short answer: probably not. Longer answer: It depends on the size of wire feeding the stove, the stove amperage, and what you intend to connect to the new 15A circuit. If you just want to wire a light for the garage, sure go ahead. If you want to install a receptacle for a microwave oven, no way. Make sure you put a fuse to protect the circuit you are connecting.

You can, but it will shatter when you turn on the burner! We found that out the hard way, twice - just to be sure.

buy a new fuse. under the hood there is a relay fuse box. check your book to see what fuse to pull. pull the said fuse and relpace it with the new fuse.
Change the cord/plug on the stove to a four wire cord/plug. When installing the new plug remove the grounding strip that connects the center lug in the stove wiring block to the frame of the stove. Connect the white wire from the new plug to the center lug. Connect the green wire from the plug to the stove frame.
If the supply is a 20 amp supply it cannot supply a 40 amp stove, you need a bigger supply or a smaller stove.
